The GMF’s target for 2016 is to gather enough medical supplies & equipment to fill a shipping container for distribution to The Gambia in early 2017. Please help us achieve this goal by donating equipment or funds towards the cause.
Any medical equipment & supply donations or contacts to obtain equipment are very greatly appreciated as are anything a newborn baby or mother would appreciate such as clothes or toys.
The shortfall within the Gambia for medical equipment is huge so we will accept any & all medicinal equipments, from hand sanitiser to ECHO machines, disposable gloves to oxygen concentrators!
Alternatively a cash donation can be made to the link below. The money will go towards the collection of supplies & equipment here in the UK & then distribution to The Gambia via shipping container.
The nurses & doctors of the hospitals within The Gambia are heroes. They operate to the best of their abilities with a bare minimum of equipment & lives are saved because of them. Unfortunately without enough of the correct equipment those lives are put at grave risk daily. Their equipment shortfall is comparable to an accountant trying to do their job without access to a computer or calculator.
Here follows a list of needed equipment given to us by the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital’s Maternity Department:

If you can donate any equipment or know anyone that may be able to then we would love to hear from you! 🙂
